-When Mick Foley learned that Luna Vachon’s home had burned down, he suggested that TNA bring her in to manage Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven at the HardCORE Justice PPV (In ECW, Vachon was used as Dreamer’s second to counteract Stevie Richards in 1995), however, Vachon turned down the offer citing that she had retired. * Primo Colon and AJ Lee, current Queen of FCW. WWE officials have been high on AJ for some time now. She has been working on the indies since 2007.
* Vickie Guerrero and Aloisia. Aloisia is 6 foot 9 inches and is formerly known as Isis The Amazon.
Mere hours after Luna Vachon’s death last Friday, World Wrestling Entertainment issued a statement addressing the many former wrestlers who have passed away as a result of substance abused related issues.
The statement reads:
“Not withstanding our extensive Talent Wellness Program for current Superstars, WWE goes to great lengths to help our former talent who may have substance abuse problems, offering complete drug rehabilitation at no cost to them. Ultimately, however, stars in any form of entertainment should be held personally responsible for their own actions. Prescription drug overdose is a problem not only with former WWE talent, but society as a whole according to the Center for Disease Control, as it is the second leading cause of unintentional death (particularly among younger people) in the U.S.”
-Teddy Hart has entered rehab reports Dave Meltzer. Teddy claims that he was told by his uncle Bret Hart that if he completes the program he will try and get WWE to give him another shot. Hart was recently a member of AAA in Mexico but was fired from the promotion after refusing to do jobs and getting match finishes changed so that he would look good.
- Regarding former WWE Diva Katie Lea Burchill’s tryout match for TNA Wrestling last week, one observer dubbed her performance as “okay” and “nothing spectacular.” Meanwhile, talk amongst others within the company was more positive.
No word yet on whether she will be offered a contract.
Goldust returns to “WWE Superstars” to take on one of the most confident competitors on the Raw roster, Ted DiBiase. Will The Bizarre One bounce back after a loss last week? Or will Maryse cheer one-half of the Million Dollar couple to a win?
New challenges
Santino Marella takes on Jimmy Uso on “WWE Superstars.” Will the Italian Superstar charm his way to a victory with Vladimir Kozlov in his corner? Or will the Samoans standing by Jimmy Uso’s side will him to a win?
Thursday Trouble
Kofi Kingston faces Chavo Guerrero in the “WWE Superstars” main event. Will the exciting, high-flying Superstar fight his way to a win against “the self-proclaimed Mexican Warrior” when Thursday night’s most exciting show hits Albany, N.Y.?
-Season 3 of WWE NXT will be an all-Divas edition. Below is a full cast list for the show. The Pro will be listed first followed by the Rookie:

-WWE announced that Johnny Knoxville will he hosting Raw on October 4:
Oct. 4, 2010: Johnny Knoxville
Johnny Knoxville and his pals from Jackass hope to get up close and personal with moviegoers in Jackass 3D – hitting theaters Oct. 15 – but first this dynamic daredevil will drop in (perhaps literally?) on Monday Night Raw, live from Wichita, Kan.
In Jackass 3D, Knoxville and his notorious crew continue seeking thrills of the don’t-try-this-at-home variety, this time in eye-popping, gut-wrenching 3D. No stranger to high-risk action or WWE, Knoxville – who has appeared on Raw before for some memorable hijinks – seems tailor-made to guest star on Monday night’s most exciting show. And he’ll surely have some surprises in store for our Superstars and the entire WWE Universe.
-Joey Mercury will be out of action for several months after undergoing surgery over the weekend to repair a torn pectoral muscle. It’s considered a six month recovery process.
Despite the injury, Mercury is expected to remain on television since he had his arm on Monday’s Raw just days after surgery. Many feel that with Serena’s recent release, it wasn’t a good time to remove Mercury from television since the Straight Edge Society wouldn’t be much of a group with two people. However, Punk and Gallows broke up at the following night’s SmackDown television taping, so the injury may have been the catalyst to disband the group.
TNA iMPACT! is going LIVE on 10/7. Remember my tweet about how TNA is going to change forever? Stay tuned.
-Actor Justin Long, who hosted WWE RAW on August 16th with “Going The Distance” co-stars Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day, tells MetroNews.ca that the experience was a disaster.
“In no way am I being self-deprecating when I say that was a disaster,” Long said. “It was just not the audience to be promoting a movie like that to. We were so out of place. It was just awkward. They’re all fired up to see guys pummeling each other, not to see three nerdy comedy guys do some bits. They played the trailer for this crowd and it just silenced them — and not in a good way.”
Long continued, saying the crowd in Los Angeles looked like they were ready to attack him and his fellow co-hosts.
“We were in Los Angeles at the Staples Center, and the only time we really had the audience on our side was when we were praising the Lakers. And before that I think the majority of them were contemplating throwing things at us. There were a few homophobic remarks. I don’t want to generalize it, I know some wrestling fans. But it’s just not the audience.”
