Raw Results: New WWE Twins, Next Weeks Hosts, Good Push on Younger Talents
Posted on May 31st, 2010 at 9:23 pm by Wrestling News

AUSTIN, Texas – While the WWE Universe saluted the men and women of the armed forces on Memorial Day, it was special guest host Ashton Kutcher who ordered the Raw Superstars into combat with one another in front of a capacity crowd. Atten-shun!

-Edge attacked Evan Bourne; Randy Orton RKO’d Edge

-United States Champion R-Truth def. Chris Jericho

-Santino Marella & Divas Champion Eve def. William Regal & Maryse
Santino Marella got one step closer in his quest to convince Vladimir Kozlov to team with him. When the spicy Italian teamed with Divas Champion Eve against William Regal & Maryse, Kozlov looked on from ringside. Perhaps motivated by a hollow promise made by Santino that Eve would sleep with him, The Moscow Mauler head-butted Regal. The Englishman dropped like a sack of crumpets, and a stunned Santino quickly covered him for the win.

-Raw General Manager Bret Hart arranged Raw Viewers’ Choice Night for next Monday
Despite a financial offer from Ted DiBiase, Raw General Manager Bret Hart refused to relinquish the reins of power for next week’s Raw. Instead, at the suggestion of special guest host Ashton Kutcher, next week “Hit Man” will allow the WWE Universe to voice their opinions on WWE.com by choosing the matches, stipulations and opponents they want to see compete during the first-ever, three-hour Raw Viewers’ Choice Night, featuring Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown. Even the WWE Hall of Famer’s longtime nemesis, Mr. McMahon, dropped by to congratulate Hart on his new role and to offer his seeming support for the idea.

-Edge attacked Randy Orton prior to their Tag Team Match
Still seething from an RKO suffered earlier in the evening, Edge retaliated against Randy Orton. In the locker room area, The Ultimate Opportunist waited to pounce on The Viper, ramming a heavy door into his previously injured shoulder prior to their main event tag team match, scheduled to feature WWE Champion John Cena & Orton against Edge & Sheamus.

-Tomorrow’s WWE NXT will be an LIVE season finale.

-Daniel Bryan def. The Miz
The student has become the master. In a stunning turn of events, former NXT Rookie Daniel Bryan defeated his NXT Pro, The Miz after securing a one-night contract from special guest host Ashton Kutcher. The relationship between Daniel Bryan and Miz began as a contentious one and continued to erode from there. After his dismissal from NXT, the indy circuit sensation has been outspoken, attacking announcer Michael Cole and challenging his supposed mentor to a match. Daniel Bryan backed up his passionate words with a pin on the former United States and Unified Tag Team Champion.

After the bout, Daniel Bryan confronted his chief critic, Cole, at the announce table. As the two stared down one another, “The Cleveland Screamer” snuck up and attacked the former NXT Rookie from behind. Daniel Bryan flipped the script, though, and sent Miz careening over the table right into Cole.

-The Usos and Tamina introduced themselves to the WWE Universe
The three introduced themselves to the WWE Universe as the Uso brothers, descendants of the Samoan Anoa’i family (Twin sons to Rikishi), and Tamina, the daughter of Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka.

-Alicia Fox executed a “hit” on Zack Ryder

-Cast of The A-Team to host Raw next Monday
We love it when a plan comes together. And next Monday, the cast of The A-Team will bring together all the elements needed to offer a gangbuster night of Raw. The crack team of commandoes will host during Raw Viewers’ Choice Night, during which viewers will be able to log onto WWE.com next Monday to choose the matches, stipulations and opponents they want to see compete during the first-ever, three-hour event, featuring Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown.

-WWE Champion John Cena & Evan Bourne def. Edge & Sheamus
Edge thinks he just sooooo clever. The Ultimate Opportunist thought he had outsmarted his tag team opponents, WWE Champion John Cena & Randy Orton, by hammering The Viper’s shoulder in an ambush prior to the match. Instead of forfeit, The Champ chose a new partner, Evan Bourne, to team with him against Edge & Sheamus.

As anyone who’s ever faced Bourne knows, his athleticism and fearlessness make him an unpredictable foe. Once in the match, the intrepid Bourne took to the sky and nailed Edge with a Shooting Star Press, sweet vengeance for their earlier encounter.

With The Ultimate Opportunist out of commission, The Champ zeroed in on his Irish antagonist. Within moments, Sheamus’s shoulders were forced to the mat, and Cena & “Air” Bourne celebrated the victory.

WWE Results from Mempis, Tennessee (5/30/10)
Posted on May 31st, 2010 at 6:21 pm by Wrestling News

1. Evan Bourne beat Zack Ryder with the shooting star press. The crowd really hates Ryder.

2. Eve beat Maryse with Santino as the special referee.

3. Goldust beat Dos Caras with his new finisher. Goldust still can go after all these years.

4. Mark Henry beat Wade Barrett. Barrett is very impressive in person, I’m sure he’ll win NXT.

5. R-Truth beat The Miz to retain the U.S. Title. Miz drew tons of heat by calling the fans a bunch of cows.

6. The Hart Dynasty beat William Regal and Vladimir Kozlov. Natalya is gorgeous in person.

7. Edge defeated Jerry “The King” Lawler with a spear. Lawler piledrove edge after the match.

8. John Cena beat Chris Jericho (w/Wade Barrett) to retain the WWE Championship. You never realize how over Cena is with the kids until you go to a live event.

Biggest pops
1. John Cena (by far)
2. Jerry Lawler
3. R-Truth

Most heat
1. Chris Jericho
2. The Miz
3. Zack Ryder (believe it or not, he got more heat than Edge facing Lawler)
3. Wade Barrett (this kid is gonna be something special)

Incident at Raw Live Event, Video – John Cena’s “Proglide Challenge” Commercial
Posted on May 31st, 2010 at 12:50 pm by Wrestling News

-A fan was thrown out of the WWE RAW live event on Friday night in New Orleans. Chris Jericho, before his match with John Cena, cut a promo on the fans and said that Cena is going down like the city did after Hurricane Katrina. Obviously Jericho got some major heat for this comment. Jericho was thrown over the fan barrier and into the first row during the match and was touched by a fan, which upset him. A fan then threw ice into Jericho’s eye and was escorted out of the building. The other fans who touched Jericho were also kicked out.
