WWE hall Of Famer has updated his JRSBarBQ.com webiste. Here are a few snippets:
-We got some medical tests back this morning which eliminated me having MS which was a relief. We had been waiting on that news for over a week. We have more tests scheduled next week as the process is essentially trying to eliminate issues that I might have but likely don’t. The waiting process gets a little stressful and my wife is a Saint for putting up with my orneriness as patience isn’t a virtue for yours truly.
-One concerned emailer to this site responded to my last blog with the fact that WWE has “moved on without me.” The way I see it, WWE had to move on without me, for now, as they have shows to do and I am unable to carry my share of the water. If the new broadcast teams click and I am not needed on a weekly basis then, poor me, I will find other projects on which to work. Yeah, getting off the road 51 weeks a year would be a real heart breaker. I’m partially joking here but until I get healthy WWE has to move forward without me and get their work done. I am pulling for Todd Grisham and Matt Striker to light it up on Friday night’s.
-The Dinner Impossible show on Food Network is again on Wednesday November 11 at 10 p.m. I had a blast on the show and we did plenty of work on it from like 5 a.m. until almost 1 p.m. the day of Summerslam. Made it a long day for me but it was all worth it or at least I hope that it was. Rumor has it that Chef Irvine thought I “burned the chicken” but the esteemed Chef is/was wrong as I simply grilled the chicken to make sure it was done. Eating pink chicken isn’t cool where I come from but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I did whip up some killer BBQ sauce which I’m told every one loved. The show should be funny and entertaining and I’m anxious to see how it will be edited and what the slant will be on it. Chef Robert is a cool cat and his staff was a blast to hang with and to create some adventure, drama and, most importantly, fun in the kitchen. Of course, Miz was “the tool” one would expect him to be which will likely make Miz the star of the show. AWESOME! Miz is seriously talented and has a marketable persona that is terribly easy to dislike.

-Lance Storm has written his opinion on Hulk Hogan, ric Bischoff sgning with TNA Wrestling. He is skeptical that Hogan signing would lead to a shift in creative, but is hoping it might. Storm wrote: “I’ve always wanted TNA to succeed and I’ve always maintained my support of their extremely talented locker room. My complaints of TNA have always been directed towards TNA’s creative team (Primarily Vince Russo) and the fact that they (he) somehow manages to book a show so infuriating and nonsensical that I’ve had to completely quit watching despite many of my favourite performers being featured on the show. So while there are some potential down sides to the addition of Hogan and Bischoff to TNA, there are several potential up sides as well, and I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for more of the latter and less of the former. ” Read the complete entry here.
-Iconvision.com has an interview with WWE Hall Of famer Rowdy Roddy Piper. Here are a few
highlights:
Piper on his current health status:
Absolutely! It was actually a very ugly piece of business. I did have some health problems and I was in a hospital in West Palm Beach. While I was in there, I wasn’t in contact on a daily basis with my family and somebody in the press put out a story that I was dying of cancer, terminally, with Lymphoma and that I only had a couple of weeks to live. People sent flowers to my home. My younger kids that are in school, kids came up to them and said that they were sorry about that news. My son that is a mixed martial artist and my daughter that is an actress got it too. None of it was true. I’m not sure where it came from and I don’t know why. Because my family couldn’t get to me, they got rather upset. But the bottom line is that as far as I know, I’m still going to be kicking pretty hard!
Piper hosting an upcoming Monday Night Raw:
Very astute. I wasn’t very happy with Wrestlemania XXV. In my mind, I want to put a cap on it as you say, with one more match, an extraordinary performance. Yeah, ya know the clock is tickin’, let’s be honest, so sooner rather then later. So, I think if you saw me in RAW that it would be leading into that match. I don’t know what it is yet. But yeah, you are correct. Read the full interview, click here.
